Spurgeon’s autobiography was originally published in four volumes by Passmore and Alabaster, now reprinted by Pilgrim Publications in two. A reference from this set, e.g. CHS3.49, would be Volume 3, page 49.
Lectures To My Students was originally published in four volumes by Passmore and Alabaster, now reprinted by Pilgrim Publications in one. A reference from this book, e.g. LS2.91, would be Volume 2, page 91.
The Sword And The Trowel, a monthly publication, contained many articles and sermons written by Spurgeon. Pilgrim Publications has assembled these articles in volumes containing several years each. A reference from one of these volumes, e.g. ST3:27, would be Volume 3, page 27.
The Treasury Of David was originally published in seven volumes by Passmore and Alabaster, now reprinted by Pilgrim Publications in seven volumes, and by Hendrickson Publishers in three. A reference from this set, e.g. TD119:8, would be Spurgeon’s comments on Psalm 119, verse 8. The Treasury of David also contains commentary from many other sources, but the only ones we have included in our volume are those comments made by Spurgeon himself.
NOTE: All volumes used are either originals or exact reproductions of the Passmore and Alabaster (Spurgeon’s lifelong printer) volumes without exception. All volumes are published by Pilgrim Publications except where noted.
