All numerical information above is based upon the Passmore and Alabaster (Spurgeon’s lifelong printer) original volumes of sermons, as reprinted by Pilgrim Publications. Volumes One through Six comprise sermons preached at Spurgeon’s second church, New Park Street Chapel. These first six volumes were bound in three double volumes by Pilgrim Publications. Volumes Seven through Sixty-Three contain sermons primarily delivered at Spurgeon’s third church, the Metropolitan Tabernacle. Volumes Sixty-Two and Sixty-Three were bound in one volume. There are, however, some sermons in the Metropolitan Tabernacle volumes that were originally delivered at Park Street. The sermons were not always printed in the same order as they were chronologically delivered.
